I feel sorry for her and I even sympathize with her. Obama's run gets in the way of realizing her lifelong ambition. She can only blame Providence.
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. Obama can put her in good use in his administration. ;)

我以你为耻,原话是怎么说的,shame on you, or shame to compete with you? :)

两天前在CNN辩论上,煽情说无论结果如何,都"honored" to be on the stage with Obama。两天后又说shame on you Barack Obama。
Think about it. If BO's mass mailing tricks really came off from Karl Rove's playbooks, then HRC's reaction was probably not entirely off base.

Man, even I knew that HRC had done the same to Obama's "Abortion policy".
They are all politicians - more or less doing the same, nobody got more moral highlands than others.

You are right. They are all politicians. But not all politicians are created equal.
When I heard BO stumping in SC by saying that "The Iraq war costs $xxxx a day. If we do not fight the war, then we can use the money to build schools, roads, bridges for SC, to pay medicare benefit for the seniors,..." bluhbluh, I knew immedfiately this fellow was spinning his gulliable audience. Having served 4 years in the Senate, he must know about the basics of the federal budgeting process. The war funding belongs to supplemental spending, sort of an emergency expenditure. If the war money was not spent in Iraq, it would never get to be spent in any domestic projects. I have not followed the campaign closely, but so far, I have not heard HRC say anything as as deceptive as that.
You might want to argue what BO said is nothing out of ordinary. Politicians would say anything and promise something for everyone in order to get elected. Once they take office, they typically become more realistic. True to a large extent. But expereince, or the lack thereof, will make a difference. HRC, according to the eyewittnes accounts of numerous policy wonks, often asks questions most career politicians will not ask. Many are impressed by the depth and clarity of her own thinking with regard to policy issues. After 8 years of GWB in the White House, I am really wary of bringing in another political rookie of a different brand. In his book, Bob Wardwood vididly describes how GWB sits idly watching his cabnet members yelling at each other, oftentimes with fists thrown up in the air. Becasue of his lack of experience in foreign policy, GWB had to delegate most of the thinking to his advisors.(Never heard of Cheney being his brain?) I am afraid this is waht's going to happen if we have another unseasoned fellow sitting in the oval office. Because of the divide and hard feelings created in the primary, I doubt he will be able to put up a first-rate policy team. Thus, more than likely, he will be Jimmy Carter the second, a one-term president. (BTW, who was challenging Carter in the 1980 democratic primary? I smell de javu. :-))

I know what you try to convey here and appreciate it.
But, back to simple common sense, broadly speaking, national budget is one pie, isn't it? "Supplemental" or "Emergency" is just logical concept, there is no such Alibaba magic cave under a mountain, from which you can just withdraw whatever cash you like, or I was wrong and simply ignorant of US Treasure? :) The over-expenditure can certainly push US to bankrupcy, or US is an exception - immuine to it?
US's war money is an over-draft from the future - which sadly mean the future government got to work harder to fund it, or find a way to fund it. If US spent less money in this overdraft, other budget will be easier to get funded - in this common sense, Obama can't be wrong.

This was one VERY powerful pitch line Obama said, if it was to the right ears at the right time. It is what it is called inspiring. Obama is trying to inspire the voters, not to sit on plans and policies and argue over them. So far it is working. The momentum needs new fuel to keep going, especially with the damage done by Michelle's adult-life pride statement. Unless new type of resource is found or invented, the energy problem is still a problem, and it is a problem the whole world is facing. War or no-war can not solve it.
It is disappointing to see Hillary yelling. When all the TV networks switched over to Obama's winning speech, Hillary's was half way through. It was hers 7 or 8th (fmust feel like countless) lose speech, and not the first time without congratulations to Obama, the winner. Still that was just pure bloody and cruel. It is SOME defining moment, no matter what is the outcome at the end of this compaign.
Still, it is NOT good to lose it. She should just change her hair style instead!

Here are some:
"Julie Christie was absolutely amazing in Away From Her. Brilliant movie. It was the moving story of a woman who forgets her own husband. Hillary Clinton calls it the feel good movie of the year."
"Oscar is 80 this year, which makes him now automatically the frontrunner for the Republican nomination."
"You have to admit, this is a huge election. An historic election. So much excitement. For the first time in so many years we don't have an incumbent president or an incumbent vice-president. The field is wide open. Have you all had a chance to examine all the candidates, study their positions and pick the Democrat you'll vote for?"
"Democrats do have an historic race going. Hillary Clinton vs Barack Obama. Normally, when you see a black man or a woman president an asteroid is about to hit the Statue of Liberty. How will we know it's the future? Silver unitards, that can't be all?"
"You have to give Barack Obama credit, he's overcome a great deal. Not just he's an African-American. Barack Hussein Obama is his name. His middle name is the last name of Iraq's former tyrant. His last name rhymes with Osama. That's not easy to overcome. I think we all remember the ill-fated 1944 presidential campaign of Gaydolf Titler. It's just a shame, Titler had so many good ideas. We just couldn't get past the name. And the moustache."
