Hi enjoy yourself!
The HK airport is the best airport in terms of the attention paid to details on customer services. They even tell you how long it's going to take when you are in the queue for the security check.
Any friendly stuff who help you with your bags when you are boarding the airport express. And you can check the news on the small screen in front of you when you are on the express.
Should try milk tea - the best HK local drink.
I miss HK, even its airport... - Re: hahhah, I am now in a coffe shop in the HK airportposted on 02/01/2005
The HK airport is not the best service indeed although it wastes lots of Chinese people's money. Too long to get to the terminals, upstair and downstair are confusing, etc., this mirrors HK's currnet situation, just like an stirring pool. - posted on 02/01/2005
Well, it's the best I've ever seen. You can't expect a short distance to different terminals for a hub airport. It's easy to get lost in Heathrow in London, Schipol in Amsterdam, O'Here in Chicago, the one in LA (can't remember the name), the one in Paris, Zurich, Beijing International and Shanghai's Pudong (terrible). Changyi in Singapore is not a bad one but slightly outdated and the shopping area is certainly not as good.
Compared to others, HK should be proud of itself. It was expensive to build with all the infrastructures which people may consider unnecessarily but I am talking about it's services ( apart from the immigration officers' dark faces). Maybe their Mandarin has quite a bit to catch up but the stuff there is very polite, helpful and efficient. That's a lot to offer because you don't pay extra for these.
Anyway, hope they will get even better - maybe it's just me missing HK. - Re: hahhah, I am now in a coffe shop in the HK airportposted on 02/01/2005
